Who we are

A large, sprawling tree with twisted branches in a lush, green jungle setting.

The name Eikthorn is rooted in Old Norse, where "Eik" means oak, a symbol of strength and resilience, and "Thorn" signifies protection and the ability to overcome challenges, the same qualities that guide how we approach every engagement.

At Eikthorn Consulting, we help individuals grow and organizations build the learning and enablement capabilities they need to perform. Whether that means coaching a leader through a career transition, designing a customer education strategy, or advising on platform selection, we bring the same approach every time: clear thinking, honest advice, and a focus on outcomes that actually matter.

Veteran-Owned,
SERVICE-DRIVEN

As a veteran-owned business, Eikthorn Consulting is built on honor, dedication, and a commitment to service. Those same principles shape how we work with every client, direct, accountable, and focused on getting the job done right. We're also proud to support veterans specifically, drawing on firsthand experience to help those navigating the transition from military service into corporate careers.

Joe is one of the most talented Learning / Talent Professionals I have had the pleasure of working with; a leader who is easy to partner with and get things done with. He brings innovative solutions and a calm sensible fun demeanor to everything he does.

FOUNDER & EXECUTIVE COACH

Our founder, a man with a beard and glasses wearing a suit and white shirt against a gray background.

Joe Grabinski is an executive coach and learning strategist with a career built at the intersection of people development and business performance.

He coaches executives and leaders through career transitions, leadership development, and organizational change as a Certified Professional Coach (CPC) and Certified Executive Coach (CEC). That credential is grounded in a career spent building and leading teams, developing managers, and helping individuals navigate growth and change across some of the most demanding environments in technology.

On the consulting side, Joe advises CE and L&D practitioners on program design, platform selection, and enablement strategy, and takes on fractional learning executive engagements for companies that need senior leadership on a flexible basis. His background is unusual in its breadth: he has built programs for every audience in the room, customers adopting a product, partners selling it, internal teams delivering it, and leaders driving the organization through change. That cross-audience experience shapes practical, outcome-focused work, where the measure of success is adoption, retention, and performance rather than completion rates. That same instinct, building for the people actually using it, carries into his coaching work.

Joe is a Certified Scrum Product Owner and U.S. Air Force veteran.
